At Grandbois, we not only cultivate organically, but also regenerative viticulture<\/b>. We are strict EU-certified organic<\/b>, but our approach goes even further:<\/p>

Specialist for steep slopes:<\/u><\/i> <\/b>95 % of our vineyards are classified as steep slopes. This means a lot of manual work to ensure the best grape selection and minimal soil compaction.<\/p>

Soil health and carbon sequestration:<\/span> <\/b><\/em>We value long-term soil resilience. By promoting natural cover crops and local biodiversity, we transform our vineyards into carbon-reducing ecosystems.<\/p>

Minimal footprint: <\/b><\/em><\/span>We work in harmony with the rhythms of nature and avoid synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilizers in order to protect the sensitive ecosystem of the Moselle.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Minimal intervention and natural winemaking

We firmly believe that wine is a living product. Our winemaking philosophy is based on minimalist enology and the movement towards low-intervention winemaking:<\/p>

Spontaneous fermentation:<\/strong><\/span><\/em> Every Grandbois wine is fermented with indigenous wild yeasts. No commercial additives, no enzymes and no industrial abbreviations.<\/p>

Prolonged contact with the yeast:<\/strong><\/span><\/em> We regularly batonnage to achieve a natural texture and creamy complexity without the need for filtering.<\/p>

Oak wood management:<\/strong><\/span><\/em> We use a selected blend of neutral and new oak barrels so that the fruit and the mineral-rich terroir of the Moselle can determine the sensory profile.<\/p>

Patience as a process:<\/span><\/em><\/strong> Our wines only come onto the market when they have reached their peak. Bottle ageing takes between one month and two years to ensure a perfect balance on delivery.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our labels - from the Anti-fascist orange<\/b> up to our Pet-Nats<\/b> - are more than just branding, they are a manifesto.<\/p>

Labels designed by artists:<\/u><\/i><\/b> We design all labels ourselves to reflect the \u201esocio-political\u201d soul of the wine. We use the outside of the bottle to be part of the story.<\/p>
